Position SummaryThe Director of Operations – Northeast has full P&L responsibility for Crete Operations in the Northeast Region and will be based in Charlotte. The director will oversee Crete operating companies in the Northeast and work closely with our sales team to drive profitable growth in these businesses. The Director of Operations will report to the VP of Operations – East. The position is based in Charlotte NC (corporate HQ).

Position SummaryThe Director of Operations – Northeast has full P&L responsibility for Crete Operations in the Northeast Region and will be based in Charlotte. The director will oversee Crete operating companies in the Northeast and work closely with our sales team to drive profitable growth in these businesses. The Director of Operations will report to the VP of Operations – East. The position is based in Charlotte NC (corporate HQ).
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed budget goals for the Northeast Region.
- Build trust-based relationships with operating company leadership.
- Develop regional growth plans and associated initiatives, resources, and budgets in conjunction with regional sales leadership.
- Establish an operating cadence with operating company leadership and Crete regional sales leadership to manage performance, track the progress of growth initiatives and ensure alignment.
- Evaluate talent needs within the operating companies in your region and add and/or upgrade talent as needed.
- Identify and implement operational process improvements to improve margin (pricing/estimation), productivity, quality and cash conversion.
- Drive initiatives to increase capacity, build new capabilities, and expand geographically in support of growth plans.
- Work with FP&A to develop reports and KPIs to measure outcomes, the underlying drivers of those outcomes, and leading performance indicators.
- Document best practices developed through operational process improvements, so they can be leveraged across the Crete network.
- Strong leader with a track-record of leading teams to achieve results.
- 5 Years operational leadership experience in the construction, maintenance and/or field service industries.
- Ability to interpret financial results and understand underlying drivers.
- Analytical problem solver with demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and manage operational and organizational change initiatives.
- Experience in commercial HVAC, electrical and/or plumbing is a plus.
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Work, Excel, etc.).
