Crete United is Hiring an Electrical Apprentice Near Springs, MI

Type: Full time permanent employment

Pay: $17-$26 DOE No out of pocket cost for benefits!

Electrical Apprentice Job Duties: 

  • Set up equipment, load, unload and transport tools and equipment
  • Furnish experienced electricians with materials, tools, equipment supplies to complete assigned tasks
  • Restock supplies and materials as necessary
  • Must keep all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly fashion and exhibit proper care and cleaning of tools and equipment
  • Mount and install assigned hardware (such as conduit, wires and strapping)
  • Hand conduit bending
  • Maintain a clean work area at all times.
  • Safety – Lead by example. Enforce and promote all company safety policies and standards. Apprentices will receive training in this area and will be expected to maintain standards.
  • Daily Job Site Flexibility – Ability to adapt to daily changes and mobilize to multiple job sites as needed. 
  • Participate in State of Michigan approved Apprentice Training Classes (funded by employer) this will be part of the State Required academic training requirement for required education on NEC compliance.
  • Continue to strive and meet installation efficiencies and standards.
  • Focus continuously on Quality vs. Quantity.
  • Contribute to Best Practices – Improve processes & policies in support of Company goals.

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Participate in necessary job site Planning & Organizing meetings
  • Willing to Communicate – both written, digital and verbal
  • Understanding that Leadership is never negative
  • Be willing to be part of TEAM that understands “the work of many can accomplish great things”
  • Willing to accept that Adaptability and Change is a necessity in the Construction Industry
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screening, Background and Driving Record check required ·
  • Previous in construction preferred.
  • Basic understanding of safety requirements and OSHA guidelines – training can be provided
  • Ability to use hand / power tools and equipment, Cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc. 
  • Must be able to climb ladders and be ok with heights 
  • Basic math skills 
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, schematics, job site maps and written instructions. 
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
