The Project Manager of HVAC & IoT has the responsibility to oversee the development and management of Controls projects for HVAC & IoT. In this capacity he/she ensures that projects are executed effectively and efficiently, assuring on time delivery within the project budget. The PM will develop and maintain high standards by establishing best in class project management on all projects including governance, team leadership, tracking and monitoring, prioritization, communication and quality controls. To be successful in this role requires excellent project management, communication skills and the ability to manage multi-site installations simultaneously.
The Director of Project Management reports directly to the Vice President HVAC & IoT Operations.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a best-in-class framework for project management utilizing effective methodologies, standards and tools.
- Communicate regularly with project teams to obtain project status, identify potential problem areas and assess whether projects are being delivered according to established quality standards.
- Establish key performance standards and monitoring practices to ensure potential problems are identified in advance and/or problems in the field are quickly identified and rectified.
- Is flexible, adaptable and resourceful when managing changing timelines and multiple deliverables.
- Provide training, development and coaching to subordinates and/or members of the teams.
- Demonstrate leadership ability to establish and manage multiple project teams.
- Often will perform project manager on assigned projects from pre-construction through post-construction of the projects, including project setup within the project management software, requirements, schedule(s), prepare/construct project meetings and notes, budget analysis, logistics of material and equipment, construction, project documentation, recycling, warranties, etc.).
- Implement best in class communication of the project with cross-functional internal teams, external trade partners, and other stakeholders associated with the assigned project(s).
- Maintain and monitor all project tasks to ensure the project goals and timelines are met.
- Identify any potential risk that would need a mitigation plan developed to avoid any risk that would hinder the project.
- Develop and track the required legal and accounting documentation of the hired trade partner(s) throughout the duration of the project.
- Ensure adequate resources are available and are scheduled in an effective manner.
- Measure project performance across multiple initiatives to identify areas where improvement is needed. Facilitate discussions to ensure a full understanding of the contributing causes of the problem. Work collaboratively to implement change.
- Consistently provide clear and timely communication to all stakeholders of the project including management.
- Exhibit passion for delivering world-class service for our customers, internal and external partners, and to uphold our mission of “Making Today Brighter Than Yesterday”.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of Controls project management experience. PMP or Project Management Certification preferred.
- Experience in construction industry with multi-site projects involving HVAC or Controls. 
- Demonstrated ability of building relationships and fostering collaborative work environments.
- Exceptional communication skills are required.
- Strong track record of seeing deliverables and projects through the full life cycle.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work autonomously in high-stress situations while accurately multitasking is a must.
- Travel up to 30% of the time.
