Our client, a seasoned 45-year-old contract electro-mechanical assembly business, is committed to excellence and innovation in the diverse industries they serve.

Summary

As the Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to elevate your career by working directly with leadership to shape their business strategy and drive growth. You will make a significant impact by developing and closing new business deals while honing your skills and expanding your professional network.

We seek a talented sales professional who thrives in a B2B environment, capable of independently identifying, qualifying, and securing leads. You'll tackle quality and production challenges, providing clients with innovative engineered solutions.

Location

Hybrid, with the plant located outside Chicago, IL

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the executive team to develop and implement a detailed strategic sales growth plan.
  • Achieve assigned goals and objectives for sales, profit, volume, and other strategic goals.
  • Identify and target potential clients to drive in leads and opportunities to quote.
  • Manage critical sales opportunities from lead to close while providing detailed, real-time sales reports.
  • Coordinate with the customer's engineering and production teams and ensure client requirements and expectations are clear and addressed in our proposals.
  • Help facilitate specific market analysis and pricing strategies and attend industry events to network.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Engineering Degree and/or MBA are both preferred but not required.
  • At least 10 years of proven sales experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in meticulously planning daily sales activities and working independently to achieve targets in driving in leads, requests for quotes, and closed deals.
  • Ability to meet with all levels of client contacts, from the production floor to engineering to the executive suite, for customers ranging from small to large.
  • Proven experience developing and evolving sales methodologies and tools in organizations without a prior culture of disciplined sales management and execution.
  • Experience finding and developing manufacturers’ rep organizations.
