**Transportation Coordinator will work in Utah and Salt Lake Counties.

Position Overview

The Transportation Coordinator(s) are in charge of training, onboarding, DOT compliance and daily operations in Ready Mix. They will model and demonstrate a “Culture of Safety” within the Ready Mix Team by ensuring all job tasks are met. They will ensure that the highest level of service is provided to the customer and will actively participate in training and development.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

Safety, Observations and Training

  • Conduct daily observations including pre and post trip inspections, jobsite observations
  • Address any jobsite safety concerns
  • Facilitate Smith System training
  • Conduct mentor/safety meetings and other plant duties
  • Awareness of DOT regulations
  • Back up batch and loader operator duties

New Hire Training and Onboarding

  • Schedule/coordinate new hires with trainers
  • Ensure all new hires are properly trained
  • Will track and assist plant managers with Zero Harm Cultural Integration

Electronic Logs and Tablets

  • Specialist will be responsible for tablets in assigned plants
  • Review DOT logs to ensure they are working properly
  • Responsible for tablet updates

Jobsite Responsibilities

  • Work with drivers and sales to meet customers’ needs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Back up batch and loader operator duties

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL).
  • Valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
