Job Description

Job Title: Construction Superintendent Reports To: Project Manager

Status: Full time, exempt Department: Operations

Salary / Pay 100-140k Location: DFW
Range:

Education / Licensing Requirements:

High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management preferred.

Experience Requirements:

5 years’ MULTIFAMILY construction experience, including podium and wrap projects.

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for overseeing the onsite operations of the construction project from start to finish. Performs key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of needed resources.

Positions reporting to this position: Assistant Superintendents

Essential Skills/Experience

Experience with Microsoft Office, Scheduling and Construction Software
Experience with Multifamily required.
Must be able to motivate and lead without being abusive.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task
Analytical, detail oriented
Possess continuous improvement mentality
Strong work ethic
Customer service focused

Job Description –Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the onsite operations of the construction project.
  • Responsible for project planning, budgeting, and resource identification.
  • Responsible for developing goals and objectives and assigning accordingly.
  • Ensures construction activities align with pre-determined schedule.
  • Communicates effectively with contractors responsible for various phase completion.
  • Maintains strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Completes daily site inspection.
  • Identifies project design or construction issues.
  • Ensures project documentation is completed timely and accurately.
  • Manages subcontractor relationships.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.
  • Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).
  • Requires working outside in various degrees of weather.
  • Must have cell phone accessible at all times.
  • Requires normal finger dexterity for keyboarding.
  • Works effectively with frequent interruptions.
  • Lifting requirements of 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Minimal travel <10%.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Paid time off

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)
