Here's an excellent opportunity to use your 8 years of experience in the field of Safety, in a commercial construction environment. My client is located in the Columbus, OH area. The position will require you to be main resource in the company for all health and safety programs, to reduce & eliminate job site hazards and likelihood of injuries. You will be responsible to train employees on OSHA & First Aid, guide, audit and lead investigations on all job sites to verify compliance with all safety policies.
In this role, you will collaborate with project managers, field staff and vendors/subcontractors to ensure the sites are meeting the necessary safety requirements. Travel in the region, to the job sites throughout the company. Full benefits and a competitive salary is offered along with an annual bonus plan.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
- Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols and procedures
- Lead investigations into accidents or near misses to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans
- Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to safety
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance management
- Experience in risk management and occupational health
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Background in construction management is a plus
- Understanding of EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) standards
- Experience with Professional Accreditation CEU's and Certifications
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels
