Police Response Advocates (PRAs) respond to domestic violence crime scenes alongside law enforcement in Riley County. PRAs meet with survivors of domestic violence to assist in safety planning and crisis intervention.
PRAs work from 5pm to 8am Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm and 5 pm to 8 am Saturday and Sunday. You will sign up for the shifts you are available to work in advance. PRAs must be willing to work some weekends and holidays, live in Manhattan, own reliable transportation, and pass a background check.
The PRA position is a volunteer position with a shift stipend along with mileage reimbursement.
