CRO Strategies is Hiring a Call Center Representative Near Miami, FL

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Call Center Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work in a call center environment with access to Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) to identify potential patients for enrollment in clinical trials. You will also be responsible for scheduling appointments for patients to visit clinical trial sites. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator with a strong understanding of medical terminology and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access and review Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) to identify patients who meet specific criteria for clinical trials.
  • Contact patients via phone, email, or other communication platforms to discuss potential participation in clinical trials.
  • Provide detailed information to patients about clinical trial objectives, requirements, and benefits, ensuring a clear understanding of the process.
  • Obtain verbal consent from patients to participate in clinical trials and record necessary information accurately.
  • Schedule appointments for patients to visit clinical trial sites, coordinating with clinical trial coordinators and site staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, consents, and outcomes in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Handle patient questions, concerns, and objections in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical trial coordinators, researchers, and other call center specialists to achieve enrollment and scheduling goals.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in a healthcare or medical field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a call center, customer service, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), medical terminology, and scheduling software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Empathy and patience in dealing with patients and their families.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
