Role Overview: The Director of Nursing will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing operations related to mental health, psychiatric, behavioral health, and addiction services. This role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and implementing effective practices to enhance the quality of services provided.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the nursing team across mental health, psychiatric, behavioral health, and addiction services, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Oversee patient care delivery to ensure it meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and effectiveness.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans for patients.
Monitor and evaluate nursing performance metrics and patient outcomes, and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
Manage the nursing budget, including staffing, resource allocation, and cost control.
Stay abreast of advancements in mental health and addiction treatment, and integrate new evidence-based practices into the care model.
Foster a supportive and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff, promoting professional growth and development.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
years of experience in nursing, with significant experience in mental health, psychiatric, behavioral health, or addiction services.
Proven leadership experience in a nursing management or director role.
Strong knowledge of mental health and addiction treatment standards and practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and nursing management systems.
