Overview:
Crossroads Academy RTC is hiring active staff for a rotating swing shift position. Crossroads Academy RTC is a residential treatment center focused on drug abuse recovery in adolescent males. Our goal is to assist our clients to regain their sense of self, and learn how to achieve natural highs, and to enjoy life without drugs. Staff who lead active lifestyles are preferred! We take our clients to the gym, skateboarding, snowboarding etc!
ALL STAFF MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.
ALL STAFF MUST POSESS A VALID DRIVER LICENSE, WITH LESS THAN 3 TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS IN THE LAST 2 YEARS.
ALL STAFF MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.
Duties:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Clients are always under direct staff supervision.
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
- Administer medications and assist with medical appointments
- Document individual progress and any incidents
Skills:
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Ability to use verbal skills to de-escalate situations.
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with individuals, families, and colleagues
- Compassion, patience, and empathy towards individuals requiring support
