Job Requirements

• Apassion for helping seniors
• A desire to contribute to a positive atmosphere in the community for residents, family & friends, and all team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; both oral and written

Job Responsibilities

• Plans and provides a variety of active andpassive, group and individual activities which enhance the mental, physical,spiritual, and social needs of residents through assessments, allowing them toplay an active role in the community
• Develop, maintain, and expand VolunteerPrograms to incorporate outside volunteers to assist with programming as wellas have residents give back to the community
• Plan/schedule entertainers
• Supervise activities staff where applicable,including van driver and transportation schedule

Qualifications

• The ability to create interest in theactivities and motivate residents to participate daily
• Creativity and motivational skills necessary
• Highschool diploma or GED required; undergraduate degree or equivalent experiencepreferred
• Certificates/ Licenses: A valid driver’s license in the state of work is required
