Crossroads at Lakewood is looking for a hardworking Director of Dietary Services for our 52 apartment memory care community. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the following. Menu planning, meal preparation, purchasing, scheduling of staff, maintaining budgets, staff hiring and retention, and maintaining a clean cooking environment. You’ll make sure our kitchen is operating efficiently, making healthy delicious meals that also look visually appealing. Experience in food service is required. The ideal person for this job is a reliable team player, has experience in staff management and the ability to cook from scratch and preparing a variety of diets in senior living. Experience in senior living is preferred. Candidates must enjoy working in a fast pace environment, cooking from scratch and have a desire to serve the elderly population. 

• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs
• Inspect the building for any structural damage to windows, doors, and walls and perform necessary repairs
• Keep a record of completed repairs and when equipment was last serviced
• Repairs and cleans rooms for efficient turnover
• Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifies appropriate personnel and follows safety protocol
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our building operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
• Responds to requests in a positive and cooperative manner
• Handle additional maintenance tasks as needed

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
•  Senior living experience preferred
• Must enjoy working with seniors
• Advanced understanding of state regulations
• Ability to maintain a budget
• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
