Job Description Job Title: Physical Therapy Services Coordinator (PTSC)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 3:00pm

Location: Crossroads School; A program of Crossroads Continuum

Salary: $80,000 per year

Sign-On Bonus:

  • $4,000 total, distributed over the first 12 months
  • $2,000 after 6 months
  • $2,000 after 12 months

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Services Coordinator (PTSC) to join our team. The PTSC is responsible for developing and implementing Physical Therapy goals and objectives for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet students needs. This role includes supervising Physical Therapists (PT) and the Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher, evaluating student progress systematically, and using the findings to improve programming. The PTSC provides both direct and consultative Physical Therapy services and demonstrates an understanding of ABA, using ABA-based techniques in service delivery.

Qualifications
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current Massachusetts state license and Board of Allied Health Professions certification
  • 2 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Proof of immunizations required
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Physical Therapy programs and behavior management procedures according to student-specific IEPs, Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and Behavior Management Plans (BMPs)
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations at least every three years for students on caseload
  • Plan and implement daily physical therapy programming
  • Develop and document physical therapy goals and service delivery plans for students' IEPs
  • Prepare and review quarterly progress reports
  • Monitor and report on student progress, communicating with supervisors as needed
  • Share relevant information (e.g., progress, family concerns) with supervisors and the Clinical Director
  • Collaborate with teachers and EBSCs regarding students physical therapy needs
  • Collect data and perform daily analysis of assigned students progress
  • Maintain communication with parents regarding physical therapy plans and progress
  • Coordinate schedules to align with student days and IEP meetings
  • Assist Administrative Directors with the development, implementation, and evaluation of protocols and procedures as requested
  • Interview potential staff as requested
  • Conduct observations, assessments, and intakes of potential students as requested
  • Ensure PTs and APE Teacher adhere to organizational policies and procedures
  • Complete biannual performance evaluations for PTs and APE Teacher
  • Supervise PTs and APE Teacher in fulfilling their responsibilities
  • Oversee weekly PT/APE Department meetings and monthly Related Service Department meetings to ensure consistency across departments
  • Document performance feedback for PTs and APE Teacher as necessary
Additional Requirements
  • Current CPR and first aid certification preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Compassionate, hard-working, and punctual
  • Genuine interest in developing a career in nonprofit services for individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Experience working with special needs populations preferred
