We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as experience managing a team.
Job SummaryOversee the daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions. Responsible for providing a variety of accounting functions including but not limited to payroll, billing, accounts receivable/payable, and cash receipts. Assist with compliance reporting and billing for insurance companies, state, and counties.

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as experience managing a team.
Job SummaryOversee the daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions. Responsible for providing a variety of accounting functions including but not limited to payroll, billing, accounts receivable/payable, and cash receipts. Assist with compliance reporting and billing for insurance companies, state, and counties.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations
- Supervise and guide accounting team members
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Manage the month-end and year-end close reporting processes
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports
- Manage and resolve denied Medicaid claims
- Understand and apply Iowa Administrative Code and managed care organization (MCO) rules and regulations to company processes
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Assists external auditors and providers required statements and information for annual audit
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll
- Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and standards
- 2-year AA degree; Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
- 2 years or more of related experience required.
- Medicaid and/or Medicare managed care experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to meet physical and mental requirements necessary to perform all functions of position.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Communication and relational skills to interact in a professional manner with staff and clients.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
