Crossroads Treatment Centers is Hiring a Medical Team Leader Near Philadelphia, PA

***Position Summary:*** This position is responsible of assisting in all areas of patient care, including physicals, and necessary tests in conjuncture with State and Federal law. Assisting the provider and patients with primary care, preparing rooms for examinations/procedures, providing counseling and psychoeducation related to positive health outcomes, and managing the administrative functions of the primary care office to include greeting patients, answering phones, preparing charts, facilitating prescriptions, and collecting payments related to services. ***:***

***Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** include the following and other duties that are assigned.

* Responsible for managing the primary care patient cycle to include administrative and medical functions

* Assists provider with examinations and procedures, including EKG and vital signs, and prepares and collects venipuncture, CLIA-waived tests, glucose, or other tests ordered by the provider

* Prepares charts, reports, or other documents as requested by the provider and/or Area Manager

* Ensures medical waste products are properly disposed of and in a timely manner

* Maintains examination/procedures rooms

* Assists patients in referral services for other medical issues(co-occurring illnesses)and other medical needs

* Maintains medical equipment and supplies per manufacturers' guidelines

* Create a welcoming patient experience by greeting each patient, answering questions related to their primary care, collecting initial information, and guiding the patient through the clinical and administrative process of their appointment

* Advocate for primary care patients with referral sources and pharmacy

* Responds to medical emergency within scope of practice

* Participates in continuous quality improvement

* Collaborate with provider, program supervisor, community health workers, and others to assist

patient in attaining positive healthcare outcomes

* Practices OSHA safety and cleaning standards

* Ensures our orders comply with State Regulations and HIPAA Standards

* Assists the Area Manager and/or Regional Director with special projects

***Qualification Requirements*:** The Medical Team Leader must meet state-defined minimum licensure, education, and/or experience requirements which may include CCMA (certified clinical medical assistant), CMA (certified medical assistant), EMT (emergency medical technician), Paramedic, or a combination of licensure, experience, and education to meet the minimum responsibilities of the role. Knowledge of social determinants of health preferred. Position requires constant mental alertness, attention to detail, and high degree of accuracy required in completing all assignments. Strong problem-solving skills. Smart, driven, exceptional work ethic. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and follow -through on all assignments. Excellent organizational skills. Highly detailed-oriented. Ability to work well in a group setting and independently.

If recovering, three years of continuous verifiable abstinence is required.

***Education and/or Experience*:** Requires education/licensure per state law. One year of primary care/urgent care experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years old. If qualifying by medical assistant, must have active certification as a CMA/CCMA. If qualifying by EMT, must have active status on National Registry as EMT, AEMT, or EMT-P.

***Language Skills*:** Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

***Mathematical Skills*:** Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, mean, mode and median ability to draw and interpret graphs.

***Reasoning Ability*:** Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee occasionally lifts/carries paperwork, files, office supplies, up to 20 lbs., pushes/pulls exerting up to 5-10 lbs. force, opening doors, file drawers, pushing files in drawers, and kneeling/crouching and/or ability to reach lower file drawers, file stretching to store of retrieve materials. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Frequent sitting at desk or computer while typing, completing paperwork, or meeting with patients.
