Job Title: Accounting Supervisor
Location: Muscatine
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as experience managing a team.
Job Summary:
Oversee the daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions. Responsible for providing a variety of accounting functions including but not limited to payroll, billing, accounts receivable/payable, and cash receipts. Assist with compliance reporting and billing for insurance companies, state, and counties.
Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations
• Supervise and guide accounting team members
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Manage the month-end and year-end close reporting processes
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports
• Manage and resolve denied Medicaid claims
• Understand and apply Iowa Administrative Code and managed care organization (MCO) rules and regulations to company processes
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Assists external auditors and providers required statements and information for annual audit
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll
• Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations and standards

Requirements:

• 2-year AA degree; Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
• 2 years or more of related experience required.
• Medicaid and/or Medicare managed care experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet physical and mental requirements necessary to perform all functions of position.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Communication and relational skills to interact in a professional manner with staff and clients.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
