Title: Advancement Communications Coordinator

Reports to: Advancement Communications Manager

General Description of Responsibilities: 

The Advancement Communications Coordinator supports the creation of mass email assets to communicate with our donor support base about ministry projects and giving opportunities. They create content and provide editing feedback for written advancement communication assets through clear, careful communication of Crossway’s Global Ministry in a way that aligns with our brand, and help the Advancement Communicator Manager by providing administrative support as needed. This is an ON-SITE position.

Media Responsibilities:

• Work with the Global Ministry team and the Advancement Communications Manager to regularly brainstorm and update our donor development communication strategy
• Manage email communication to donors via Mailchimp through preparing monthly newsletters and researching new techniques to implement
• Support the organizational efforts of the Global Ministry team to manage and connect Crossway’s donor database software to Mailchimp
• Research comps and best practices for advancement communication and fundraising via email

Writing Responsibilities:

• Create and provide editing feedback for project briefs to the Advancement Communications Manager and support other internal documentation for major advancement projects
• Oversee social media content creation and work alongside the Content Marketing team to establish regular rhythms for posting Global Ministry content on existing Crossway accounts
• Work with the Advancement Communications Manager and the Global Ministry team on ideas for reports and media from ministry partners, conduct interviews, and draft updates and reports based on those interviews
• Process interview recordings to prepare for updates and reports
• Oversee mid-tier donations and prepare and send notes of gratitude in conjunction with our donor relationship protocol
• Provide editing, proofreading, and writing support as needed with the Advancement Communications Manager

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Provide organizational assistance related to all advancement campaigns in Asana and ensure stakeholders are regularly updated on plans and progress
• Coordinate and support donor mailings
• Provide support in Global Ministry meetings to record notes and track follow-up needs and next steps
• Occasional other tasks or project in support of the Communications Division, as assigned by the Chief Communications Officer or Advancement Communications Manager
• Occasional travel may be required

The Advancement Communications Coordinator must have strong interpersonal communication skills and a thorough understanding of various platforms of communication. They must be adept at processing work quickly and professionally and thrive in a fast-paced environment. They must be highly organized and thorough in their work. They must be proactive and self-motivated.

Personal Qualities:

This person must have a genuine faith in Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Savior and a love for God’s Word. They must be an active participant in a local church and be committed to an evangelical, historic Reformation understanding of the Bible, the gospel, and Christian doctrine. They must have a pleasing personal demeanor with a servant’s heart.

Salary:

The position provides a competitive salary based on previous work experience, education, acquired skills, and established relationships. The salary is commensurate with current standards for comparable positions and responsibilities within publishing and other leading not-for-profit ministries. Compensation for every Crossway employee is reviewed and evaluated annually by the Executive Compensation Committee (ECC) of the Crossway Board of Directors.
