Under direct supervision of the Director of Supply Chain, the Team Leader Valet Parking oversees the day to day operations of the Valet Parking Department. The Team Leader will ensure the valet parking for patients, visitors, and other contacts is maintained according to policy and procedures. Additionally, they will provide guidance and support to their direct reports and maintain outstanding customer service and professionalism

1. Manage staff schedules including open shifts, call-ins, vacation time, paid leave and convey changes to Departmental Leadership
2. Troubleshoot customer service issues and complaints.
3. Based on departmental productivity, float staff to additional departments if needed
4. Continually educate direct reports on proper customer service techniques as well as Hospital policies and procedures.
5. Interview candidates for positions and coordinate New Employee Orientation with Human Resources.
6. Drive patient and guest vehicles to designated areas and safely park them.
7. Organize and complete valet tickets and accounting forms in a neat and orderly fashion as well as document all pertinent information.
8. Responsible for receiving cash and cash receipts and handling a cash drawer.
9. Maintain order of the valet parking lot by organizing vehicles for efficient retrieval.
10. Retrieve vehicles when patients and guests are ready to leave.
11. Safely operate different types and sizes of vehicles in a safe and acceptable manner within Hospital driving policy standards.
12. Display excellent public relations skills while providing information, giving directions, assisting with luggage, and providing wheelchair assistance, etc.
13. Explain parking procedures, valet service fees, and parking garage fees clearly to patients and guests.
14. Be able to withstand various weather conditions for long periods of time.
15. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and get in and out of vehicles without assistance
16. Performs Courier duties as needed based on volume
17. Inform Departmental Leadership of any problems or suggestions for improvements.
18. Attend all required meetings, training, and in-service programs.
19. Maintain a cooperative, positive, courteous, tactful, receptive, helpful and professional disposition with leadership, patients, coworkers, and vendors.
20. Routinely handle crisis situations independently in a positive and effective manner
21. Assumes other duties as assigned by department leadership.

Education/Experience

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid NYS driver's license in accordance with Crouse Health's Driving Policy
• Must be able to operate motor vehicle with an automatic or standard transmission

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a leadership or team lead role

Hourly Rate Range

$16.80 - $27.71/hour
