Job Description
- Ability to properly use hand inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, depth indicators, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of common materials used in metal stamping and fabrication.
- Complete 1st piece inspection and in-process inspections set at various intervals
- Part sorting for various issues/ defects, both for in-process and final inspections
- Walking the shop floor regularly to maintain full knowledge of what parts are running
- Help with filing and organizing inspection paperwork
- Complete First Article Inspection/ PPAP for new or updated part prints
- Maintaining gauge and equipment calibration
- Work alongside management and inspect incoming or outgoing shipments
- Attendance is critical for this position
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in the stamping industry or piece/part manufacturing preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Computer literacy (Windows/Office environment)
