Crude Trucking - Energy Transfer Family of Partnerships Careers is Hiring a Lead Specialist - Crude Trucking Near HOUSTON, TX

Summary:

This position supports Crude Trucking with Crude Oil Truck Driver retention and engagement.Additionally, serves as the Crude Trucking Organizational Ambassador to Commercial Driver Licensing education institutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Will spend 75% or more of time conducting on-site field visits to company locations as scheduled by Crude Trucking Senior Leadership to meet with Crude Trucking employees and gather work experience feedback.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Crude Trucking employees and ensure employee needs and concerns are addressed and communicated to Crude Trucking Leadership.
  • Assist Crude Trucking Leadership with developing and implementing Crude Trucking retention strategies to improve employee engagement and retention rates in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Assist with developing and implementing training programs to support employee development and career growth in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Responsible for gathering driver resignation information and reporting it to Crude Trucking leadership and Human Resources.
  • Assist with planning safety banquets awards and attendance to each.
  • Conduct a minimum of bi-monthly CDL school visits as the Crude Trucking Organizational ambassador to CDL schools.
  • Refer prospective CDL school candidates to the Talent Acquisition Department and maintain a pipeline of prospective CDL graduates.
  • Build a network of industry contacts by attending relevant trade shows, symposiums, and partnering with educational leaders in the trucking space.

Requirements:

  • 8 years of relevant trucking experience.
  • Previous gauging and crude oil tanker hauling or bulk hazardous material transport experience or equivalent management experience in the same.
  • Handheld/onboard computer experience.

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

·Usually, normal office working conditions.

·Must be able to travel 75%

·Extensive overnight travel required.

·Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
