Job Description

As part of the 90 day trial experience, the UW Trainee will follow the direction of assigned training leaders to complete assignments that provide an understanding of the UW role at C&F -Surplus and Specialty Lines.

What you will do for C&F :

• Evaluates new and renewal policies and endorsements against prescribed criteria to determine if policies and endorsements are ready for issuance.
• Maintains proper file documentation.
• Assists the underwriter in the preparation of new and renewal business.
• May participate in projects.
• Travel required. Expected to be less than 20%

What you will bring to C&F :

• Ability to learn through self-study.
• Strong work ethic, verbal & written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office.
• College degree in many majors will be considered.
• Risk Management major a plus but not required.
