About the role
Crunchyroll is growing and changing, presenting unique challenges and opportunities to support millions of anime fans around the world. The Partner Tools team provides seamless help to our partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring an exceptional experience for all Crunchyroll fans.
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who is passionate about quality to lead the Partner Acceptance and Release team. The Partner Acceptance Release Quality team is dedicated to testing, measuring, understanding, and communicating the overall quality of our TV streaming application both before and after it is released to production and our partner's devices. The team will focus on improving and innovating in the spaces of our test content, metrics, observability, and alerting. This team will also set a strategic vision for test automation and quality in the TV space, collaborating with stakeholders and partners across Crunchyroll and our Partners.
What you will be doing:

• Build and lead a team of partner acceptance and release engineers who value inclusion, transparency, autonomy, and humility.
• Set a strategic vision for partner testing and quality in the TV space.
• Create a release management vision.
• Collaborate, build alignment, and develop strong relationships with engineering partners across client, server, and productivity teams.
• Effectively identify, prioritize, and manage high-impact initiatives on the team's technical roadmap.
• Empower, challenge, and coach team members to grow their impact as individual technical leaders by providing them with context and continuous feedback.

Qualifications

• 10 years of product development experience in consumer devices or services.
• We are looking for a creative and highly motivated individual who is excited to take on challenging projects and help drive the future of partner acceptance testing. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong technical background in product development and software release management.
• Knowledge of developing and managing test cases, test harnesses, as well as expertise in utilizing the latest technologies and tools will be essential.
• Possession of excellent problem-solving and communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other engineers, product managers and program managers.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal engineering and automation infrastructure teams to propose, develop and deploy test content designed to optimize partner device quality.
• Internal and external partner empathy.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll's Total Rewards offerings for employees.
