Crye Precision is Hiring a Shipping Coordinator Near New York, NY
We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented individual who can help get gear into the hands of those who need it. This position is perfect for someone who is driven to meet deadlines by working within a dedicated team. You'll have the opportunity to be a part of on-the-spot problem solving and long-term improvements.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage daily international shipments in coordination with the Warehouse and Logistics Managers.
- Process standard domestic and international freight quotes and shipments, using a variety of shipping methods. Familiarity with INCOTERMS.
- Adhere to export requirements including, but not limited to, application of proper classifications and shipping terms.
- Ensure all related documentation is properly completed and filed with the relevant carrier or recipient.
- Maintain related documentation as required.
- Address standard inquiries from Customer Service related to shipping.
- Research customer shipping claims, including lost or damaged packages and mis-shipments.
- Review carrier invoices for justification and reporting to internal accounting department.
- Participate in annual carrier performance analysis.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience shipping domestically & internationally, including small-parcel and freight.
- Have advanced knowledge of standard carrier processing: UPS, FedEx, DHL, 3PL, and USPS.
- 3 Years of experience with Netsuite. Some knowledge of Pacejet preferred.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of standard shipping forms, both domestic and international.
- Knowledge of Harmonized System Codes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, capable of meeting deadlines.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety principles.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and operate a manual pallet jack pulling/pushing up to 400 pounds.
