Research Assistant III, Global Industry Intelligence

Summary:

Our company is looking for a research assistant to work on our Global Industry Intelligence program within our Global Industry Marketing team. This person will help identify, interpret, and report on the most important trends at the intersection of advertising, technology, business, policy, and politics. They will work with the lead analyst to produce prescient and competitive analysis that allows our senior leadership to act early on emerging opportunities and risks. The ideal candidate should be naturally curious, a quick learner, and a critical, cross-disciplinary thinker. While simultaneous expertise in the advertising business, tech, and policy is not required, the candidate should have background in at least one of these fields and readiness to learn the others.

The candidate will work on the global industry intelligence program. Some minimal travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Track competitors' activity and trends and relevant developments in the advertising industry, the tech industry, and global policy by attending events, speaking with industry leaders, reading the news, interviewing experts, etc.
• Research specific emerging industry issues as requested by the analyst lead
• Assist with proofreading and editing of industry intelligence content, including memos, reports, and briefings
• Coordinate the distribution and publication of reports; build out internal database of industry intelligence
• Help shape industry engagement and marketing strategy, contribute to events programming and marketing campaigns

Qualifications:

• Analytical skills and ability to think critically and structurally
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Storyteller with experience synthesizing complex information
• Research experience in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting information
• Avid news reader with a proven interest in business, technology, marketing, and/or policy trends
• BA degree in International Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business, Political Science, Journalism, or a related field
• 4 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in marketing industry and/or tech industry, especially with developers
• Creative thinker familiar with critical perspectives on tech and marketing industries
• Experience working with and briefing senior executives

Pay range is $31 - $36 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
