They help clients increase profitability by managing the communications required in transportation so your team can spend their valuable time focusing on the other things that make your business great. This company follows industry best practices to mitigate risk and to ensure the safe transportation of your products.
Freight Broker (Freight & Logistics)Our client is an award-winning 3PL, specializing in FTL over-the-road shipments and is looking for a Freight Broker (Freight & Logistics) with a proven track record in sales and operations. This is an exciting and fast-paced position with constant negotiations, problems to solve, and money to be made.
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
  • Identify prospects and convert them into customers by building strong relationships based on trust and reliability.
  • Understand clients' most pressing problems and put solutions in place to prevent those issues from occurring.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, address inquiries, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Analyze current market trends and conditions to properly forecast pricing.
  • Negotiate prices with customers and vendors on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
  • Mitigate risk by ensuring vendors are completely vetted and a trusted partner.
  • Monitor and track shipments and communicate with all relevant parties at each preset earmark.
  • Investigate the progress of each shipment with every vendor interaction and identify red flags.
  • Keep and maintain records that would meet the scrutiny of litigation.
  • Deescalate tense situations to earn the desired results.
Experience
  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Over the Road Logistics: 2 years (Required)
  • OTR Freight Brokering: 2 years (Required)
  • B2B Inside Sales: 2 years (Required)
