Logistics Business Development RepresentativeOur client is hiring for a new Business Development Representative. This position leads a POD of 3 while handling all communication and relationships to the customer. The ideal candidate loves talking to people and proactively solving issues. They will also have the ability to multi-task and ensure that all procedures and tasks are completed by their team.

Responsibilities
  • Outbound phone calls to solicit freight from shipper customers at the designated call intervals provided by supervisor.
  • Trains, explains tasks, and assists in the solution of problems.
  • Receives customers' requests by telephone or email, analyzes requests, provides information requested or ascertains who can best provide the information, and routes the request to the proper person.
  • Analyzes transactions, correct records and adjusts errors.
  • Searches company records using our client’s TMS system (Revenova) and provides necessary information and or reports to customers and team members.
  • Manages book of business and carrier representatives assigned to their POD.
  • Traces the status of shipments and provides information back to shipper customers as needed.
  • Resolves customer questions related to shipments, and takes orders as needed.
  • Maintains liaison with other carrier representatives for order completion.
  • Inputs shipment orders, email confirmations, price quotations, and similar data to customers, as required.
  • Responds to customers' requests via telephone or email
  • Has knowledge of services offered, pricing, delivery and transit times, various telemarketing skills, and similar data, as required.
  • Provides relief to carrier representatives as needed.
  • Assists in shippers' requests for quotes (RFQ) as needed.
  • Performs other allied duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience
  • At least 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
  • Experience in salesforce is a plus.
This position offers a competitive base salary.
