VP of Brokerage Business DevelopmentThe VP of Brokerage Business Development develops the overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations. Oversees critical and related transportation service functions that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for transportation services and customer satisfaction. Utilizes analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost. Job Type: Full-time Responsibilities
You will be instrumental in shaping and delivering on an ambitious vision that accelerates our client’s expansion into new business opportunities.
Able to build and maintain the operational processes and capabilities our client needs to meet their daily and long-term goals.
Day-to-day, you will lead a team of third-party logistics professionals specialized in Sales, Account Management, and Carrier Sales.
Set and execute on the long-term vision and strategy for the function, focusing on key differentiators, new innovations, capabilities, and team structure.
Analyze logistics challenges, anticipate evolving areas of growth, and ensure prompt support for necessary systems and processes.
Achieve financial goals (revenue and margin) for the fiscal year.
Ensure the development of an annual strategic plan for our client.
Experience:
High school education required.
Demonstrated successful experience at a Senior Director/VP level with broad logistics responsibilities.
Analytical, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Excellent knowledge of the market and competition
Strong decision-making skills
Willingness to travel
Committed to the highest standards of personal integrity.
Flexible thinker, solution-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and using the Internet.
