CS Recruiting is Hiring a Warehousing Sales Executive Near Pittsburgh, PA

Our client is a leading third-party logistic service (3PL) and non-asset provider. The company was established in 1917, and its foundation is built on the belief that they can help they customers, regardless of their size, achieve long-term success. They will help achieve customer’s goals through superior customer service, communication, flexibility, integrity, and service. They provide a breadth of services, including Pool Distribution, Truckload, Specialized Services, LTL, Warehousing, Cross Dock, Reverse Logistics, and Final Mile Delivery services.
Warehousing Sales ExecutiveOur client is seeking a driven and experienced Warehousing and Distribution Sales Executive to join their rapidly growing team. In the last year, the company has expanded to an additional location and is planning to open yet another location by the end of this year. The Sales Executive will help to expand the company’s presence by representing its brand and promoting its warehousing and distribution services. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of related experience, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to find and pursue business opportunities. This individual should also exhibit leadership qualities, as this role has the potential to grow into a managerial position in the future.

Responsibilities
  • Successfully sell the following services to existing and new customers:
    • Warehouse storage, handling, and distribution (LTL) services in PA, OH, IN, NY, WV, TX
    • Asset Truckload (TL) Backhauls in each operating territory coming back to PIT, CLE, and DFW
    • Non-Asset Freight Brokerage Services (Pool Distribution, TL, LTL)
  • Source potential customers by generating leads through phone, virtual, LinkedIn, and in-person correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively with existing and potential customers to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Execute proactive outreach strategies, including cold calling, to spread the company’s brand and obtain new business.
  • Secure and set phone, video, and/or in-person meetings with customers.
  • Take ownership of RFPs and RFQs and negotiate with customers to win business and generate profitable sales.
  • Listen to customer pain points, and recommend service offerings to improve and/or add value to their business strategies.
  • Keep abreast of industry and market trends in order to advise customers on optimal warehousing solutions.
  • Seamlessly resolve client conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Travel up to 25-30% of the time to meet with prospective clients.
  • Attend industry conferences to promote the company, network with potential contacts, and build a substantial lead pipeline.
  • Manage accounts in terms of relationships, rate adjustments, and organic growth.
Experience:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in related warehousing/distribution sales, with a background in CPG, raw materials, appliances, or another applicable specialty.
  • Proven capability and willingness to make cold calls.
  • Self-motivated individual with the desire to find and pursue business opportunities.
  • Possesses an upbeat personality and can positively represent the face of the brand.
  • Knowledgeable about logistics and distribution, and stays up-to-date on industry trends, services, and pricing.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite, namely Excel.
  • Understands CRM, WMS, and TMS systems and how they fit into the supply chain; although, proficiency in these systems is NOT a requirement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to build rapport with customers effectively.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
