Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities.
Duties
-Clean table, chairs, cabinets, counters and appliances located in the employee break room and donor waiting area.
- Vacuums carpets, dusts furniture and removes trash
- Clean windows and doors at least daily
-Performs minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, painting, minor plumbing and carpentry tasks.
- Monitors the grounds and parking lots around the center and pick up litter as required in these areas.
- Assists in recycling and repackaging of shipping materials.
- Inspects and cleans restrooms throughout the day. Replaces paper and soap supplies. Performs minor custodial tasks in area as required.
- Physically receives supplies from vendors and moves supplies from vendors and moves supplies from storage area to released and quarantined areas.
-Maintains clean efficient work environment, and ensures sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed. Follows all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures. Promotes safety in all actions.
- Maintains confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
-May be cross trained in other areas to meet the needs of the business.
Bilingual skills may be required, at the discretion of the organization, to meet the needs of the business.
-Perform job related duties assigned.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of residential painting is a plus
- Ability to maintain cleanliness in an industrial setting
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.95 - $14.65 per hour
