MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
West Hartford - multiple buildings - valid driver's license and registered/insured vehicle are required
200 Units
Salary- BOE
On-Call/After-hours rotation required

Day-to-Day duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Apartment turnover and/or renovation
- Work Orders
- Common area maintenance
Plumbing
Repair issues with plumbing systems. Replace or install faucets, toilets, and hot water tanks. Fix garbage disposals, dishwashers, washing machines, etc. Diagnose and repair leaks. Clear drains.
Electrical
Repair and replace power switches, fuses, and wall sockets. Troubleshoot electrically powered appliances such as ceiling lights, vent/exhaust fans, etc.
Painting and Drywall
From minor touch up painting to full unit painting at move-out. Repair to damaged walls from normal wear and tear to addressing maintenance related issues which may result in damage to the drywall. It’s expected that the unit will be returned to its original condition after the work is completed.
GENERAL
General daily visual inspections of the building(s) exterior and maintenance of property grounds.
Responsible for helping to maintain an appealing presence at all times. Addressing any aspects of the community’s presentation in a timely manner including track/debris pick up, exterior repairs, and lighting.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Maintenance team members should have a strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and general maintenance with a minimum of 2 years related experience.
