CTG is seeking to fill an Administrative Support for Purchase Requisition and Order Process opening for our client in South Deerfield, MA.

Location: South Deerfield, MA

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

• Create Purchase Requisitions from Quotes provided by Engineering or Maintenance. Work with Maintenance Work Orders to create new Purchase Requisitions for goods and services.
• First point of contact with vendors for Purchasing questions and Covestro Purchasing / Procurement.
• Run reports regarding open requisitions and purchase orders and address any issues with lateness or delays in execution.
• Resolve issues and roadblocks to enable on-time execution of purchase orders.
• Track the flow of purchase requisitions and orders through the workflow to ensure timely completion.
• Work with Accounts Payable and vendors to ensure Invoices are received, approved, and paid in a timely manner. Some training or walking the vendors through the Covestro Process may be needed.
• Assist with Contracts for new vendors.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience in an office environment.
• High school diploma with 5 years’ experience in an office environment.

Skills:

• Experience using planning, organizational and tracking tools such as Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Some experience in purchasing or purchase order management or accounting - preferred, ideally in SAP.
• Technical information system expertise (database queries, complex spreadsheets) -preferred, not required.
• Experience in dealing with a production environment or shop floor - preferred, not required.
• Highly organized, driven to achieve tasks efficiently and diligently on time.
• Service oriented mind-set: ability to help engineers and engineering support through issues executing service requisitions and purchase orders.
• Experience in professional communication via phone, in person, and e-mail.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
