The Avionics Manager will oversee our FAA certified repair station and production avionics team. This
position is expected to work in close collaboration with other departments to plan and perform various
retrofits, scheduled/unscheduled avionics maintenance, and support our kit panel builds. You will also
be responsible for coordinating and ensuring daily production avionics needs are met.
Development of a robust quote system to speed workflow and provide timely responses.
Responsible for direct supervision of all daily repair station workflow, expected to be a contributor to
work output as well.
Responsible for supervising, training, and developing a staff of approximately 8 technicians.
Will be the first point of contact in supporting CubCrafters customers as well as the manufacturing
facility.
Maintain an ongoing awareness of all appropriate avionics product lines so as to be effective at
recommending appropriate equipment for customer solutions.
Working knowledge of general aviation avionics including both TSO’d and non-TSO’d gear, Part 145
regulations, and general aviation regulatory environment.
Customer relation skills – The ability to verbally communicate accurately, in a professional and tactful
manner and to do so with a wide range of personalities.
Communication skills – The ability to draft various types of written correspondence.
Computer skills – Familiarity with Windows 7/8/10, file management, MS Office applications, e-mail,
digital photo management.
Organization skills – Must be highly organized, able to prioritize and able to stay focused on tasks. Must
possess a high degree of self-discipline and the ability to complete duties fully with minimal supervision.
Must strive constantly for ever-increasing ways to improve both personal productivity and department
systems as company grows.
Verifiable history of previously held repairman certificate or equivalent training
Pilot’s license, Private or above, with tailwheel experience and no violation history are a plus.
A&P License a plus
Ability to work as a key component in a team atmosphere.
This is not an entry level position. General aviation familiarity, avionics, Part 145,
and Part 23 experience are required.
