Billing/Accounts Receivable Manager

The privately held company with 25 active subsidiaries operating primarily in the salt production and distribution. The client is located the Galleria side of Houston.

JOB SUMMARY

The client is seeking an experienced billing/AR manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing, accounts receivable, and collections to lead the cash applications process and oversee the accounts’ receivable function. Develop and implement credit risk management strategies and policies.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

8 years of experience in billing

Accounts Receivable experience preferred

SAP/ERP experience required

Supervisory experience required

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

ESSENTIAL AND RESPONCIBILITIES

Review the work of billing staff to ensure accurate and timely invoicing

Resolve pricing and invoice issues by partnering with appropriate groups

Create and maintain billing policies and procedures

Effectively drive the day-to-day internal/external communication with stakeholders

Oversees 7 team members responsible for day-to-day accounts receivable and billing functions

Works closely with Sales Managers

Support month-end close process and year-end audit

In-depth knowledge of SAP order-to-cash processes, including sales order management, pricing, credit management, billing, and invoicing

Comprehensive knowledge of accounting transactions and financial statement implications related to direct and intercompany billing

Ability to effectively research and resolve customer inquiries

Other duties as assigned
