Culmen International LLC is Hiring a Finance Analyst Near Washington, DC

Culmen International is currently looking to recruit a Finance Analyst to assist the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) in Washington, D.C.

Roles & Responsibilities

The Finance Analyst is tasked with providing a broad spectrum of advisory and analytical services to the COO and OCOO staff, focusing on key operational areas such as managing DFC's investment pipeline, enhancing investment operations, and coordinating business development throughout DFC, including its expanding international presence.

The role encompasses direct administrative, technical, and research support for special projects and partnerships overseen by the COO, necessitating collaboration with OCOO staff and other business lines.

The Analyst will aid in the efficient management of DFC's investment pipeline to guarantee the prompt execution of projects aligned with strategic priorities and capable of generating substantial development impact. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing data pertinent to DFC's pipeline, aiding in regular pipeline reviews with DFC leadership, and ensuring project tracking and monitoring, as well as the availability of essential information for decision-makers.

Furthermore, the Analyst will assist in formulating and executing operational strategies and process enhancements aimed at achieving improved investment results, heightened efficiency, and an enhanced client experience. This effort will involve cooperation with various DFC offices and may target areas such as business development, transaction review, investment processes, and portfolio monitoring. The Senior Associate is charged with providing significant, actionable analysis and recommendations to bolster business performance.

Additionally, the Analyst may undertake special projects, including support for OCOO's participation in domestic and international meetings and conferences, collaborations with other development finance institutions and investors, and the creation of communication materials that showcase DFC's initiatives, such as blogs and articles.

Responds to all requests in a timely manner. Replies to email correspondence and phonecalls within two business days. Conducts daily duties with courtesy and professionalism. Otherresponsibilities would also include:

Onboarding and Training Development:• The Develop a comprehensive onboarding program for DFC personnel designated foroverseas offices.• Implement a training curriculum that includes cultural sensitivity, local businesspractices, and DFC-specific operational protocols.• Customize training materials to cater to the diverse roles within the overseas offices.

Administrative and Operational Management:• Draft official communications such as cables and congressional notifications pertinent tothe opening and operation of overseas offices.• Track the progress of office openings, monitoring security clearances, Office of

Information Technology (OIT) readiness, and personnel onboarding processes.• Provide problem-solving support for any issues arising in the administrative andoperational setup.• Coordinate and schedule interviews, assisting in the recruitment process for overseaspersonnel.• Craft comprehensive position descriptions for new roles required in overseas offices.• Lead and direct cross-functional teams to standardize and document processes forestablishing new overseas offices.

Webpage Design and Content Creation:• Design an intuitive and informative webpage dedicated to supporting businessdevelopment coordination.• Populate the webpage with essential resources such as templates, frequently askedquestions (FAQs), and sector-specific guidance documents.• Ensure the webpage content is regularly updated and maintained for relevance andaccuracy.

General Support Services:• Perform note-taking duties during meetings and compile clear and concise meetingminutes.• Generate reports, create presentations, and develop slide decks for various internal andexternal purposes.• Collect and analyze data relevant to the operational effectiveness and businessdevelopment of overseas Onboarding and Training Development• The Develop a comprehensive onboarding program for DFC personnel designated foroverseas offices.• Implement a training curriculum that includes cultural sensitivity, local businesspractices, and DFC-specific operational protocols.• Customize training materials to cater to the diverse roles within the overseas offices.

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Applicants must have three years of experience in a related finance or consulting field, which may include impact investing, development finance, emerging market finance, investment or business advisory services, or management consulting. Specialized experience should include data analysis with strong Excel skills, market research, and communications. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to formulate and recommend new policies, processes, or strategies. It also enhances the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Additionally, it fosters the capability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with internal and external representatives of DFC. It encompasses a thorough understanding of management and organizational principles and practices, as well as planning knowledge.
