Culmen International is looking for a Registered Polysomnographic Technician for support a Walter Reed Army Institute Research Program in Silver Springs, MD.
Assist in conducting and scoring polysomnographic studies. Performs basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies. Prepares patient equipment for testing, interviews patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain pre and post testing procedures. Performs and documents testing per lab protocols. Monitors patient throughout testing and intervenes as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues. Assists with scoring sleep studies and generating reports. Prepares, calibrates, repairs and maintains equipment required for testing.
Requires a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Must maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and registry certification for the profession. Should also possess a minimal proficiency in common productivity software programs including Word, Excel, SigmaPlot and others, and have an understanding of basic descriptive statistics. US Citizenship is Required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
