Culmen is currently seeking Computer Systems Engineers to service our client's network operations center.

The SMSe Network Operations Center is a technical support center that provides 24/7 level 1 and 2 support for SMSe systems, network, hardware devices, software applications, and support to users. Technical support extends to typical IT devices (workstations, monitors, servers, switches, routers, and other IP devices), as well as connected peripheral security systems and sensors. The Network Operations Center constantly monitors the SMSe network in order to identify outages and problems. The Network Operations Center is also responsible for handling all initial end user questions, requests for assistance and troubleshooting. 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide a 24/7/365 customer support center to monitor the health and status of the SMSe network and all applications.
• Provide system statistics and reports.
• Commission all new SMSe integrations worldwide to insure all programming is accurate and perform functionality checks of all integrated systems.
• Maintain, configure and edit all VSOC triggers to adhere to the security and maintenance hierarchy established for monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Answer all e-mails and phone calls to the SMSe network operations center for customer support.
• Maintain, update and log all work completed for the SMSe network in the CMMS work order system.
• Provide CMMS work order reports to include work order history, aging, compliance and problems with completing work.
• Create, modify and delete user and computer accounts in an Active Directory environment.
• Monitor the health and availability of all devices connected to the SMSe network.
• Initiate and coordinate with end users remediation actions needed to maintain operability and availability of all connected SMSe devices.
• Support the DS Command Center on a priority basis.
• Knowledge of basic Juniper Junos and ScreenOS commands.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree

1-3 years of experience supporting organization (LAN), (WAN), and internet systems1-3 years of experience in monitoring network to ensure network availability1-3 years experience in fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and on procedures on technical assignments1-3 years experience providing customer support.Strong written and oral communication skills, including explaining technical and program requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.Demonstrated organizational skills in data management and maintenance.Must be able to work independently and with a team.Strong time management and attention to detail skills.Active Secret Clearance
