We are looking for a talented Employee Training Specialist to join our team specializing in Human Resources for our Components Business Segment in Morristown, TN.

Conducts or facilitates general and specific training programs for employees. Partners with third party providers and educational organizations to develop and deliver training programs.

Leverages learning technology to improve program delivery and conducts program follow-up with training participants.

Creates instructional content utilizing company designated learning environments and standards; develops instructional materials including participant guides, instructor guides, presentations, tests, and job aids;

uses cost-benefit analysis to decide whether to modify, purchase or develop instructional materials.

Conducts training needs analysis and partners with stakeholders to design solutions.

Develops and implements evaluation plans; constructs test items using a variety of formats; determines the impact of instruction on participants and the business;

discusses and interprets evaluation reports with stakeholders.

Maintains records and reports on individual and group progress using common tools and systems; uses evaluation data as a guide for program revisions.

Develops relationships with corporate-approved third-party providers, universities, and other educational programs; conducts program evaluations and recommends actions.

Participates in initiatives to improve performance excellence; leads specific initiatives.

Applies different change management models as required by the contexts of the change; establishes sponsorship and ownership for change;

facilitates planning for change and creation of change strategies.

Coaches and mentors employee training specialists.

Skills

Instructional Design and Effectiveness - Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates instructional content using Cummins methodologies and technologies to maximize learning and meet organizational needs;

evaluates success indicators by using appropriate collection methods and analyzing the results to validate content effectiveness as compared to the learning objectives.

Training Delivery - Instructs learners in a manner that engages and adjusts to individual and group needs resulting in knowledge, skills and abilities that can be applied on the job.

Facilitation - Guides group discussions or training by creating an active environment where questions are posed, perspectives are shared, and debates occur with the goal of gaining understanding, analyzing issues, resolving conflict, exploring solutions, or making decisions.

Change Management - Applies the Cummins structured process and tool set for engaging individuals and organizations through change to achieve and sustain business results and outcomes.

Global perspective - Taking a broad view when approaching issues, using a global lens.

Interpersonal savvy - Relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.

Demonstrates self-awareness - Using a combination of feedback and reflection to gain productive insight into personal strengths and weaknesses.

  • Data Analytics - Discovers, interprets, and communicates qualitative and quantitative data; determines conclusions relying on knowledge of business or functional frameworks;
  • simultaneously applies statistics, data validity, data visualization, and problem-solving approaches to effectively extract meaningful patterns and business insights;

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.

Experience

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

This position is not hybrid, the successful candidate must work at the site. Microsoft Office experience, including, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint a must.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
