We are looking for a talented Maintenance Technician, specializing in Manufacturing Electrical work, to join our Manufacturing Engineering Team in Maxton, NC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Performs routine building maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
- Assists in a wide variety of maintenance activities; addresses immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and ensures that tools, materials and vehicles are maintained in good working order. Performs activities under direct supervision.
- Maintains safe work habits and actions in all aspects of the daily task; evaluates reactive work for safety issues, plans projects so that safety is key, and reviews preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety hurdles.
- Utilizes software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance work and building management system.
- Orders supplies from various vendors and assists in managing spare parts inventories.
- Performs work in a wide variety of conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
- Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas; Up keep on exterior yard, including pit and sump clean/repair.
- Conducts minor repairs including plumbing in restrooms along with dock drain; floor repair & spill pickup, including carpet and floor tile; Ceiling and light fixture installation; Wall repair including drywall installation, patching, wall hanging and painting.
- Operates and maintains vehicle equipment such as fork truck, golf carts, etc.
- Uses powered hand tools drills, grinders, porta-band, etc.) based on job need.

- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Requires some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
- Demonstrated ability to complete and document tasks.
- A good understanding of applicable assembly processes
- Working knowledge of and relevant experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- The ability to troubleshoot and repair control issues on equipment controlled by PLCs, preferred
- Ability to explain complex systems in a way that understanding is achieved
- Be able to influence the reactions of assembly technicians to operating variances that do not require high skill levels.
- Be able to learn new concepts and apply them daily in interpreting the proper repair techniques required for each situation.
- Ability to solicit information from various sources and compile them into a course of action.
- Brainstorming and active problem-solving skills are expected.
- Must be able to access all areas of the plant and safely use ladders and other access devices such as scissors lifts and articulated boom lifts.
- This job also requires some climbing and standing for extended periods.
- Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards.
- Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
- Performs quality inspections.
- Identifies and controls non-conforming material.
- Operates manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble products in order to create the proper characteristics and dimensions necessary to meet customer expectations.
- Demonstrates a high level of competency in core work skills.
- Achieves production goals.
- Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
- Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks, and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
- Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet production goals.
- Works with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.
- Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.
- Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements.
- Participates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
