GENERAL DUTIES
I.T. Associates perform moderately complex professional work in technology-related disciplines. While areas of specialization vary, typically I.T. Associates work in areas such as development/programming, communications, technical support, or similar functions depending on the needs of the Information Technology area to which they report. Work tasks include resolving complex technology problems and serving as a technical resource. They have considerable latitude for independent initiative and judgment and may have supervisory responsibilities.
I.T. Associates should demonstrate mastery of one or more technology-related disciplines.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Information Technology Associate is primarily responsible for managing and performing expert-level work related to application and technical support as well as business process automation and security at the CUNY School of Law.
Utilize ProcessMaker to design, build, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain workflow automations. Use custom coding and integrate third-party applications and services into workflows as necessary. Perform administration tasks on ProcessMaker environment, including account maintenance and e-mail integration. Train end users in system operation.
Use scripting languages to automate business workflows; identify opportunities where scripting may be beneficial.
Provide application security support for CUNY’s PeopleSoft ERP implementation. Ensure that users have permissions appropriate to their roles and directly implement changes as needed; ensure that any needed approvals are obtained and documented in advance.
Follow University application security protocols and maintain proper records at all times; respond to audits.
Resolve end-user problems under very limited supervision for Windows 10/11 and macOS 12 through 15 operating systems. This work includes installation, configuration, testing, upgrades, troubleshooting, backups, and maintenance. Provide support for applications running on those platforms. Printing platforms include Hewlett-Packard workgroup printers and the PaperCut print metering system running on Xerox multifunction devices.
As needed, provide Zoom, telephone, or deskside technical support to faculty, staff, and students; utilize and maintain problem tracking system as well as asset inventory database.
Administer and troubleshoot electronic exams with Examsoft Examplify exam administration system. Provide training and support to users as needed.
Act as campus-level administrator for Blackboard learning management system, working with faculty and staff to support electronic course management and maintain user access.
This position is eligible for a 70% in-person, 30% remote hybrid schedule. The requirement for in-person work may be higher than 70% based on departmental and divisional needs. This position may require evening and/or weekends
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
An equivalent of seven years of experience post-high school that can be met by one of the following: seven years of full-time work experience in a computer or technology related position; an Associate's degree plus five years of full-time work experience in a computer or technology-related position; a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus three years of full-time work experience in a computer or technology-related position
Demonstrated English Language proficiency
A Motor Vehicle Driver's license, valid in New York State, may be required for some, but not all positions.
This job has three levels. To qualify for Levels 2 and 3, additional qualifications, such as education, experience, or certification relevant to the area of specialization are required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
The posting should state that applicants must meet the qualification requirements and hold a permanent IT Associate appointment or must have applied for and passed Promotion to IT Associate, Exam # 2078 or IT Associate, Exam #2079.
COMPENSATION
$89,639, after contractual salary increases are implemented salary will increase to $99,912.
