About the Role: 

As a Python & Machine Learning Developer at CuraPatient, you will join our Engineering Department where you will report to the VP of Engineering. Your primary role will involve developing and maintaining AI/ML algorithms and features, with a particular focus on generative AI solutions like the GPT model. Additionally, you will integrate these solutions with our comprehensive system, ensuring seamless interaction between front-end and back-end components. This includes supporting web services and managing data exchange between users and various system elements.

Success in this Role Looks Like:

• Programming skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in Python programming.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Active participation in code reviews, providing and incorporating constructive feedback.
• AI/ML background
  • Proficiency in generative AI using large language models (LLMs) such as GPT, Llama, or Amazon Titan, etc.
  • Experience in developing LLM-based solutions, including Prompt Engineering, function calling, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or Text-To-SQL (TTS).
  • Skills in fine-tuning LLMs with client-specific datasets to enhance base models.
  • Solid background in building AI/ML products and services with Python ML/Deep Learning libraries like Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Commitment to staying current with advancements in ML frameworks, libraries, and techniques.
• Cross-functional skills and end-to-end development experience
  • Competence in scripting and managing relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and/or non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB or OpenSearch).
  • Experience with deploying and operating cloud-based projects, especially on AWS (other cloud platforms experience is also valued).
  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end AI/ML system development, including data preprocessing, ingestion, and feature engineering.
  • Collaborative experience with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into systems using Angular for the front-end and Spring Boot for the back-end Java applications.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning), Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of professional working experience in software development with Python.
• Strong experience in working with ML models and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience with LLM (Large Language Models) is highly desirable.
• Experience in integrating ML models into Angular Spring Java applications.
• Strong experience with software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Good understanding of RESTful API design principles.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We’re headquartered in Irvine, California, and at this time, we are focusing on local resources who will report onsite daily. Orange County (CA) residents strongly preferred. Sorry, no relocation assistance.

• Holidays: 9 paid holidays, plus 1 paid floating holiday of your choice (10 days total).

Salary Range Transparency: $125,000 - $150,000 - you know your worth and we want to hear you out. We’re open to a salary that best reflects your experience, skills, knowledge and talents that will also meet our qualifications and current company needs.
