Seeking seasoned HR professional looking to scale back and improve their work-life balance. Cure Violence Global is a small, Chicago-based nonprofit (less than 20 staff) with a flexible hybrid and remote work environment. We need an experienced HR professional to work an estimated 25 – 30 hours per week. Open to contract or part-time arrangement. Part-time includes a benefits package with a 30-hour weekly commitment.

Anticipated functions include:

• Working with our payroll service, Paycom, to execute payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
• Working with our payroll service, ensure all tax requirements are completed correctly and by mandated deadlines.
• Oversee the annual benefits enrollment process and administer all employee benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance, and 403(b) plans. Work with the Chief Operating Officer and benefits brokers to evaluate and select health and wellness plans each year.
• Manage and coordinate professional development, compensation and benefits, performance evaluation, and employee handbook update.
• Ensure that recruiting and hiring processes are consistent, streamlined, and compliant with all state and federal laws and regulations.
• Establish and manage a comprehensive training program to educate employees regarding staff tools, policies, and procedures.
• Work closely with all external HR partners, including third-party vendors and consultants.
• Ensure all required supplier and contractor paperwork (certificates of insurance, W9s, etc.) is on file.
• Serve as employee relations liaison for performance issues, behavior issues, and employee concerns, and work with legal counsel as needed.
