Throughout the Gardner family’s ownership of Superior Trim, we have made, and continue to make, significant investments to ensure that Superior Trim has all of the appropriate technologies in-house and available to produce cost-competitive, high-quality interior and exterior trim products for medium/heavy duty trucks and other commercial vehicles that our customers expect.

Superior Trim is looking for an experienced injection mold technician to oversee our injection mold presses and tooling.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Effectively be able to perform general and major mold maintenance along with minor mold repair
• Confirm that the completion of mold storage and requirements have been met and maintained
• Complete preventative maintenance on molds and documentation of the PM.
• Understand the mechanics, lubricants, bearings, and hydraulic / hot runner systems utilized in injection molds.
• Understand how and able to complete tooling setups, as needed
• Responsible for the set-up and sampling of new, transferred, and modified molds
• Monitor and troubleshoot processing problems, document/update processing changes
• Provide feedback on mold design, as related to optimal cycle time and part quality

Minimum qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years experience in an injection molding environment as a machinist, injection mold technician, or maintenance technician
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to work with all members of the team
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Must be self-motivated, work well independently and have excellent time management skills
• MIG TIG welding experience
• Surface polishing
• Attention to detail
