OSS is seeking a talented Scalable Solutions Office (SSO) Tech SETA; SME. You must have excellent communication and documentation skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Our primary objective is to provide our customers with outstanding support and dedication to help them fulfill their mission. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide scientific and technical expertise in molecular and cell biology to support ARPA-H Program Managers.
• Aid in assessing innovative use of data science, image processing, and machine learning to achieving molecular and cell biology research and processes at-scale
• Assist in the ideation of new programs, organizing meetings with key stakeholders and thought leaders
• Provide analysis of solutions proposed for the program
• Assist in the translation of efforts commercially to deliver palpable improvements to patient care

 Required Qualifications, Certifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Proven proficiency in scientific concepts and research methodologies underlying molecular biology and cell biology is required.
• Experience in data science, image processing, and machine learning based approaches is highly preferred. 
• 15 years of related academic, government, and/or industry experience is preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Experience in searching across multiple databases, data repositories, web portals, search engines, and scientific journal platforms
• Ability to ask insightful questions that challenge traditional thinking
• Demonstrated clarity in writing and presentation
• Ability to provide multiple relevant first-author publications in field of expertise
• Ability to work effectively with diverse performers

Additional Qualifications

• Experience in an Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) organization, including DARPA, IARPA, ARPA-E, or ARPA-H
• Experience in a consulting environment
• Familiarity with FDA approval and commercialization (beneficial but not essential)
• Ability to develop and convey meaningful insights, significant contributions, and recommendations to address complex client issues
• Ability to learn, grow, and develop new skill sets
• Ability to be creative and resourceful
• Possession of excellent data gathering, analytical, problem-solving, and client service skills
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biophysics, or a related scientific field
