Job Title: General Maintenance - Commercial Cleaner

Job Description:

This role is responsible for a variety of activities to include light repairs and cleaning to ensure that our facilities are both tidy and functional. Some of the daily custodial activities include sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors; dusting, cleaning fixtures; and emptying trash bins. You should be comfortable cleaning bathrooms as well as other public spaces.

Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job. You should have the manual dexterity and physical stamina necessary for this work.

Duties:

· Responsible for cleaning office and manufacturing areas.

· Cleans floors including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning.

· Cleans glass and windows.

· Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.

· Empties trash, and replaces liners.

· Thorough cleaning and restocking of cafeteria and break areas.

· Cleans manufacturing areas of the building.

· Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.

· Monitors and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas.

· Basic maintenance of outside grounds, such as cleaning entrance and sidewalk areas.

· Performs additional duties as needed.

Required Skills:

· Ability to be on your feet or sitting for extended periods of time

· Understanding of and experience with proper chemical and cleaning methods and various types of cleaning supplies or tools for a commercial facility

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to climb a ladder and perform work in overhead spaces

· Proven experience with cleaning and basic building maintenance is required

· Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems is a Plus

· Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools is a Plus
