The Project Manager is responsible for the administration, implementation and management of commercial heating and cooling equipment projects and to successfully deliver those projects to our customers. Manages all aspects of equipment projects with direct responsibility for project execution with minimal support. The Project Manager role reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Capable of managing mechanical projects ranging from $1,000,000 to $3,000,000 and can do so independently by being resourceful
• Team player who is engaged and inspired to help the team continue to be their best
• Assists Senior Project Manager(s) with creating procedures for internal processes within the project management group
• Visits jobsites and participates in CMS provided training classes
• Focused on our customers’ success and maintains customer satisfaction by being proactive
• Communicates with customers and their representatives; including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff
• Coordinates scope of project; budgets, performance and close-out with customers
• Ensures compliance with internal equipment ordering processes
• Responsible for entering equipment orders and issuing purchase orders to vendors
• Approves vendor invoices, issues customer invoices and reconciles financials within a given project
• Generates service work orders for equipment start-ups and service visits
• Compares estimated ship dates with contractors’ project schedules
• Ensures projects meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget
• Establishes a professional relationship with our customers to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews
• Obtains acceptance and timely sign-off of the project by the customer
• This position works in a typical office environment with occasional visits to jobsites
• Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required
• Opportunity for advancement into Senior Project Management/Team Lead role

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of three (3) years of project management, HVAC or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Familiarity with HVAC systems equipment preferred
• Good communication, collaboration and organizational skills are essential
• Dynamic leader with managerial skills preferred
