Job Title: Operations Manager
Department: Operations
Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Operations
Supervises: Yes
Work Location: Warehouse in Raleigh, NC, or Hybrid
Job Summary: This position is responsible for leading and supporting different aspects within the Operations Department. They will lead, manage, and coach team members to support company business objectives while improving the internal and external customer experience and meeting service-level goals. As an Operations Manager, you will help promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance.
Main Responsibilities:
Leads and manages the receiving team, artwork coordinators, procurement, and customer service.
Oversees bringing products to life with the Artwork Coordinator team through managing cross-functional relationships, product pricing, and project management to ensure on-time product launches.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve process efficiencies, lower operational costs, and drive revenue.
Provide cross-functional team/department support as required for Sales, Customer Service, Shipping, Production, and Procurement.
Review and audit vendor invoices for accuracy.
Work closely with Production & Shipping teams to ensure timely deliveries.
Work with procurement and receiving to manage inventory and identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes.
Prepare and maintain reports on operational metrics and performance indicators.
Develops and communicates category strategic visions and goals, from a customer and marketplace perspective, to support profitable unit sales growth.
Works with the Sales department to support the planning and procurement of products.
Gather customer feedback and market insight to monitor brand performance and use information gained to recommend actions.
Build and maintain relations with manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, and distributors to ensure product quality.
Managerial responsibilities:
Promote leadership, coaching, and collaboration.
Strong managerial skills to manage and train people.
Conduct performance reviews, 1:1, and departmental recruitment.
Handles corrective action and progressive discipline as needed in accordance with company policy.
Lead by example, and work toward team engagement and retention.
Requirements
Physical demands: Normal office environment, ability to sit, stand, move around throughout the day, and operate office equipment.
Required Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Manufacturing or a related field, at least 8 years of experience in a similar position. Manufacturing, supply chain processes, and distribution experience. Experience in direct-to-consumer and wholesale apparel operations. CRM software experience (ex. Oracle, SAP, Odoo).
