- Assist the Maintenance mechanic in any task assigned.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs on machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct inspections of machinery and mechanical equipment identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC,etc.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Assume responsibility for ensuring the duties of this position are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of diploma or GED.
- Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and improve to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Previous maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Familiarity of various manufacturing tools and machinery.
- Bilingual language skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work well with others, be organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Willingness to work in shifts that may include early or late hours, weekends, or overtime if necessary.
- Satisfactory pre-employment drug testing is required.
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- After 30 days of employment, employees are eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, vision, sick pay, vacation accruals, and 401(k).
