Are you a driven candidate? If so, we are looking for you! We are looking for a Parts Runner who will partner with our team. The role is located at our Odessa, TX location. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You understand the heavy equipment business and have a drive for being an active part of solutions. You set the bar high and set an example for other leaders and colleagues on how to work collaboratively with the highest level of integrity.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

•Assess requests for parts for a variety of components related to heavy duty diesel, utility equipment and hydraulic systems to ensure correct items and quantity are ordered.

•Timely process orders and contact vendors as needed to order parts for service or inventory by ensuring that the proper parts are ordered. 

•Work closely with managers and team leaders on parts requests to ensure all necessary parts are ordered and eliminate costly parts returns per company procedures.

•Assist with tracking all incoming and outgoing inventory in accordance with the company’s procedures. 

•Timely and safely perform parts “runs” in company vehicle to acquire parts.

•Accurately distribute parts to mechanics and assign equipment to appropriate vehicle within the company’s inventory system.

•Ensure that computer-based parts and inventory systems are up-to-date and accurate by inputting all necessary data in a timely, accurate manner. 

•Assist in conducting inventory counts and keep inventory records to ensure company standards are met. 

•Assist in ensuring that proper inventory levels are maintained to prevent delays in production. 

•Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

•Highly organized, detail-oriented, delivering accurate and polished work.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE At least one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS Excellent listening and communications skills. Ability to speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of customers or employees. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Good with basic math. Must possess the ability to make mathematical computations with accuracy. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. '
