Customer Value Partners is Hiring a Consultant Near Washington, DC

CVP is seeking a highly motivated and organized Consultant to join our team in a large scale LMS implementation. This role will directly support our federal clients to establish essential systems and processes in support of the Agency’s core mission within an Agile development environment. As a Consultant, you will assist with all phases of systems design and deployment including stakeholder engagement, gathering and translating business requirements into functional development specifications, following development tasks to completion, testing and investigating ways to optimize current functionality and processes. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Define and translate complex business and user requirements into technical specifications.
  • Develop functional requirements and conduct gap analysis.
  • Develop process workflows.
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of product backlogs
  • Gather, analyze, and compose technical information. Conduct research and ensure proper use of technical terminology.
  • Translate technical information into clear, readable documents and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support the development of functional and technical solutions.
  • Support development of technical documentation (e.g., User Guides, Admin Guides)
  • Provide customized, business-focused objective advice, expertise, and specialist skills to create value and improve business strategy, internal processes, and performance.
  • Work closely and develop relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all business requirements are implemented.
  • Evaluate business requirements to identify gaps, interdependencies and reconcile conflicts with proposed solutions

Qualifications: 

  • Must be eligible to obtain a high-level Public Trust clearance
  • BA/BS (MA/MS preferred) in a relevant field (e.g., information technology policy, solution requirement development, solution engineering, system design, information systems management, information security, information assurance, etc.)
  • 5 years experience implementing business/system solutions
  • Experience implementing Learning Management Systems (LMS); experience with Moodle a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting, analysis, problem-solving, decision making and communication skills
  • Experience with systems implementations, business requirements, process improvement
  • Experience managing backlogs and development sprints
  • Experience communicating with Project Stakeholders, technical and non-technical, in differing roles and various levels in the organization to identify, analyze, and prioritize requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Desired Qualifications

  • CompTIA Security Certification
  • Experience working with IT teams and SDLC (Agile environment required).
  • Experience with Department of Homeland Security
  • Experience with Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS)
  • Experience with functional administration of a GOTS/COTS product
  • Experience using and developing in SharePoint, PowerApps
